Description	Note on back of photo: "Site of the Revolutionary Residence of Mr. Joseph Munson. On the right is the residence of Mr. Frederick C. Blanchard. The white star marks the site of the Munson house. The residence of Mr. M.L. Force may be seen on the left. The Revolutionary road from Green Village runs between the Force residence and the field in the foreground. The same road pass in front of the Blanchard residence. Presented to the Morristown, N.J. library by Andrew Sherman Nov. 1919 A.M. Sherman Morristown, NJ" [This view is approximately at the corner of Woodland Avenue and Kitchell Road, facing northwest. British and Hessian officers captured at Trenton and Princeton were brought as prisoners of war to Lowantica, (Loantaca) and were quartered in private houses in the area of the Lowantica encampment. Some were housed at the private residence of Joseph Munson.]
